Morning Memories: Potatoes, Chopped Wood, Estuaries, and Owls!
During their time in Chewonki, the encampment groups rotate through a variety of hands-on activities. So far, our 8th graders have harvested potatoes and explored the farm, chopped wood, participated in estuary studies and spent a little time indoors learning about owls. During the owl studies portion of the day, students learn about how they rehabilitate owls that have been through trauma.
The 8th graders are far away from the bustling streets of Park Slope - we can't wait to hear more about what they learned during their time away. Should the new 8th-grade mascot be an owl!?
